Chairman of CITIC Construction Chen Xiaojia Meets with Belarusian Ambassador to China Yuri Senko

Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, met at the headquarters with Yuri Senko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China on January 19, 2021.

Chen expressed his warm welcome to Senko’s visit, saying that the Ambassador shoulders an important mission for his country, and comes to China to assume his new post given the severe situation of the spread of the global pandemic, for which we hold great respect. Under the current complex situation of the pandemic and international politics, we earnestly hope that on the basis of China-Belarus friendship and mutual trust, the two sides will strengthen cooperation and make more achievements that satisfy the governments and people of the two countries, Chen also said, adding that we also expect the two sides to further expand the scope and areas of cooperation, and explore in-depth cooperation in line with national policies and principle of mutual benefit for the well-being of the people in the fields of factory investment, infrastructure construction, agriculture and trade.

Highly praising CITIC Construction's successful implementation of many large projects involving the national economy and people's livelihood in Belarus, Senko pointed out that President Alexander Lukashenko highly commend the construction quality and progress of the agro-industrial complex project undertaken by CITIC Construction. The ambassador said that at present, relevant parties are making every effort to advance the relevant work of the third phase of the agro-industrial complex project, adding that Belarus will, as always, strongly support CITIC Construction in implementing more high-value-added projects in Belarus.

Yang Jianqiang, Deputy President of CITIC Construction and relevant principal officials of East Europe and CIS Division and Agriculture Division were present at the meeting.
