The gas turbine for the self-provided power station of the potash fertilizer project undertaken by CITIC Construction in Belarus was successfully hoisted in place on March 22, 2021. The representatives of the project owner were present.

The self-provided power station, being one of the various sub-projects of the Belarus’ potash fertilizer project, was constructed by CITIC Construction in the EPC manner, and it was also the first sub-project to be put into operation. The gas turbine is the most important functional equipment in the core device of a self-provided power station, and it is also one of the most difficult equipment to hoist. The project team made detailed hoisting plans with construction unites by conducting strict accounting, actively communicating with them, and cooperating with installation and civil engineering teams. Both sides have worked together to ensure the safe and accurate hoisting with meticulous organization, and proper management and control.

As an important part of the critical path of the project’s annual construction, the successful hoisting of the gas turbine marks the full start of equipment installation of the Belarus’ potash fertilizer project.
