On Behalf of Chamber of Commerce Angola-China (CCAC), CITIC Construction Signs a MoU with National Bureau for Employment and Vocational Training of Angola

On April 19, 2021, on behalf of Chamber of Commerce Angola-China (CCAC), CITIC Construction signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Implementation of the “Professional Internship Program” with the National Bureau for Employment and Vocational Training of Angola. Gong Tao, Chinese Ambassador to Angola attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech. The Governor of Luanda, Angola, the Chief of the Presidential Office, the Minister of Education, the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security and the State Secretary were present at the ceremony. Guo Sen, Deputy General Manager of African Division of CITIC Construction, signed the memorandum and gave a speech on behalf of CCAC.

The “Professional Internship Program” was promulgated by Angola's Presidential Order 300/20 on November 23, 2020, aiming to provide internship opportunities for young students and promote the stable economic and social development of Angola. In response to the call, the Chinese Embassy in Angola and the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security of Angola recommended CCAC and the National Bureau for Employment and Vocational Training of Angola as representatives of both sides to sign a memorandum of understanding, promoting the development of “Professional Internship Program” by providing internship opportunities for local youth in Chinese enterprises in Angola. Guo Sen said that while CITIC Construction has been committed to expanding business in Angola for many years, it attaches great importance to fulfilling its social responsibilities. As the chairman , CITIC Construction will lead CCAC to continue to give back to the society and make contributions to the employment of Angolan youth and social development.

The Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Angola, the Director of the National Vocational Training and Employment Bureau of Angola, leaders of the vice-chairman units of CCAC and related personnel attended the signing ceremony.
