2022 Final Competition of Young Employees' Professional English Skills of CITIC Construction

On January 12, 2023, the 2022 Final of Employees' Professional English Skills Competition of CITIC Construction was jointly held by the trade union and the HR department of CITIC Construction, with 25 contestants from various functions participated in by delivering English speeches or engaging knowledge contests. Company leaders including Tao Yang, general manager, Yang Jianqiang, executive general manager, Piao Bo, chairman of the trade union, Chen Suting, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Xu Mingguang, the director presented the event, and over a hundred employees from home and abroad witnessed the exciting event at the site or through an online show.

In his opening speech, Piao Bo said that this company branded event intends to promote the mutual understanding of different cultures among home and abroad young employees of the company, build a deep awareness of the historical inevitable great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, help our employees to better communicate with others and to empower the new long march of the company in the oversea markets.

After the fierce final competition including speech and question & answer, individual talent show, instant News reading, business knowledge Q&A and other activities, the first prize was granted to the Middle East division, He Xiaoyan and Kamal Aini, both from the Middle East division, were granted first prize for speech award and knowledge contest respectively. Other awards were granted to various excellent contestants.

After the event, Yang Jianqiang, the chairman of the judging panel, expressed opinions on the finalists one by one and said that he hoped that more excellent young employees will be found through such competitions in the future for the internationalization of the company. In his summary speech, Tao Yang said that, while facing unexpected difficulties and uncertainties, the company has made great breakthroughs and achievements in the past year under the guidance of the spirits of the 20th CPC National Congress. He required that more and more young employees of the company should be aggressive, innovative, and hard-working enough while keep improving themselves, to overcome various difficulties in the front line of the oversea environment and build the company into a world leader in the fiercely competitive international market.
