
On the afternoon of September 1st, the "Felicity Together" Global Employee Sports Games of CITIC Construction Sports Association was grandly opened. Tao Yang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of CITIC Construction, announced the opening ceremony. Comrades from the Group's Party and Mass Work Department, Leaders in attendance included representatives from CITIC Group and members of the CITIC Construction Party Committee based in Beijing.
In his opening speech, Piao Bo, Chairman of the CITIC Construction Labor Union and Deputy General Manager of CITIC Construction, stated that the company's labor union has actively established sports associations to enrich the sports and cultural life of employees. Today's events organized by each association are not only a review of the national fitness activities, but also a grand event for CITIC Construction employees, as builders of the "Double Olympics", to showcase the Olympic spirit, which will surely boost morale and strengthen confidence.
Chen Dalong, Deputy Director of the Party-Mass Work Department of CITIC Group, congratulated the successful hosting of the Sports Games. He highlighted that the CITIC Construction Labor Union has actively implemented the CITIC Group's "Felicity CITIC" philosophy by innovatively hosting the first global synchronized employee sports games. This initiative demonstrates the labor union's role in aligning with core corporate objectives and serving the overarching mission, while showcasing the striving spirit of CITIC Construction employees both in China and abroad.
The opening ceremony was successfully concluded with the singing of "The Motherland Will Never Forget" by all staff. Subsequently, competitions in basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, running, and other events commenced simultaneously in Beijing, Wuhan(Hubei), Nanjing(Jiangsu), Ziyang(Sichuan), Belarus, Kazakhstan, Angola, and the United Arab Emirates.
This sports games represents the largest staff sports event since the establishment of CITIC Construction, with more than 400 employees from five sports associations participating. Chinese and foreign employees competed on the same field, and CITIC Construction staff distributed around the world, at this very moment, are interpreting the CITIC story of "co-creating spectacular events and sharing happy achievements" through sports.
