In December 2007, CITIC Construction signed three general contracts for the Belarus Three Cement Clinker Production Lines Project respectively with Belarus Plant, Krasno Plant, and Krichev Plant affiliated to the Belarusian Ministry of Construction. In the project, CITIC Construction would build three new 5,000t/d dry-process cement clinker production lines respectively for the foresaid three plants, including the subproject of replacing gas with coal in Belarus Plant. The project was financed by Chinese government's preferential loans and commercial loans. It is the first project of CITIC Construction in Belarus.
The production lines in Belarus Plant, Krasno Plant and Krichev Plant were transferred to the owners after passing the performance examination in November 2012, May 2013 and August 2013.
The success of the project which was highly applauded by Belarusian President, laid the groundwork for future expansion in the Belarusian market.
