Potash Project in Belarus

On February 18th, 2020, CITIC Construction signed an EPC Contract for Potash Project, a move that will consolidate CITIC Construction’s presence in the core of the Russian-speaking market. 

Located in the state of Minsk, the project is a mega complex, comprised of mining, beneficiation and infrastructure facilities. It has an annual production volume of 2 million tons of potassium chloride. The project, when completed, is expected to boost potash production by 20% for Belarus. The owner of the project is a subsidiary solely owned by SAFMAR of Russia. It will become a paragon for trilateral cooperation among Russia, China and Belarus.
