
Yuri Senko, the newly appointed Belarusian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China, visited the Belarusian Agro-industrial complex project undertaken by CITIC Construction on November 24, 2020. This is the first major project the ambassador has visited since he was appointed by Belarusian PresidentAlexander Lukashenko on November 19.
Senko listened to a report on the overall situation of the agro-industrial complex project and the operation of CITIC Construction in Belarus, and inspected the construction of the first and second phases of the project. Highly commending the progress, the construction quality, and the scheduled commissioning of the premix production workshop, the ambassador said that the Belarusian Embassy in China will continue to provide relevant support for CITIC Construction’s cooperation with Belarus.
The project team passed a letter of congratulation from Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction to Senko, and invited the ambassador to meet with CITIC Construction’s principal officials after taking office in Beijing to jointly promote CITIC Construction’s economic and trade cooperation with Belarus including the third phase of the agro-industrial project.
Danil Uritsky, General Director of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, and relevant personnel of CITIC Construction’s East Europe and CIS Division accompanied Ambassador Senko’s visit.
