
Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, paid a visit to BN Vocational School (BNVS) upon invitation on April 9, 2019, where he exchanged views with Ms. Yao Li, Board Chairperson of BNVS on further development of the CITIC BNVS in Angola, and held a symposium with the main leaders of the school.
Yao Li first praised the effective operation and the high-quality education of the CITIC BNVS in Angola, and fully affirmed the positive impact of vocational education on the employment and development of the youth in Angola and the constructive role it played in building the image of Chinese enterprises, adding that the pattern of the CITIC BNVS in Angola has been listed in the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative in the 2018 annual report on the quality of secondary vocational education in Beijing issued by Beijing Academy of Educational Sciences. BNVS will continue to work with CITIC Construction to summarize the experience of its overseas schools, continuously improve the teaching quality, and take the school in Angola as a model of other overseas schools to be opened in the future. Afterwards, Yao Li announced that Chen Xiaojia was officially appointed as the member of BN Vocational School Board.
Chen Xiaojia said that CITIC Construction pins great hopes on the development of the CITIC BNVS in Angola. After five years of unceasing trials and efforts, the school has truly realized localization management and its graduates have all enjoyed full employment, which brings positive influence to the local society and gains praise from the governments of China and Angola, Chen added, saying that BNVS is an important platform for CITIC Construction to fulfill its social responsibilities and carry out public welfare activities. As the newly-appointed member of BNVS, he will continue to support the development of the school and seek in-depth cooperation in advantageous areas at home and abroad.
