The first China-Italy Third Party Market Cooperation Forum (CITPMCF) was held in Rome, Italy on March 22, 2019. Chairman of CITIC Construction Chen Xiaojia attended upon invitation the forum and presided over the parallel forum of infrastructure and communications.
Co-hosted by Italian Ministry of Economic Development and China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and undertaken by Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria and Bank of China, the first CITPMCF was one of the important series events attended by President Xi Jinping during his visit to Italy. This forum will become a long-term mechanism for strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Over 100 representative enterprises from all sectors and financial institutions from China and Italy attended this forum.
Luigi Di Maio, Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Economic Development and Minister of Labour and Social Policy, and Ren Zhiwu, Deputy Secretary General of NDRC, attended the forum on behalf of their respective governments and delivered speeches.
Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, presided over the parallel forum of infrastructure and communications together with Mr. Giandomenico Ghella, Vice President of Italian Associazione Nazionale Costruttori Edili (ANCE) (Italian Association of Private Construction Contractors), and delivered a keynote speech titled “Join Hands with Third Party Markets and Motivate New Drivers for Cooperation”.
At the B2B enterprise match-making section, Chairman Chen Xiaojia intensively met representatives of over 10 enterprises including SAIPEM, TODINI and TREVI Group and conducted comprehensive business communications with them.
This forum promoted the mutual understanding between CITIC Construction and Italian enterprises, advanced the combination of CITIC Construction’s resource integration and project management advantages with Italian enterprises’ advanced philosophies and high-end technologies, and opened up a new prospect for the two sides to carry out cooperation in third party markets.
