From September 20 to 23, 2011, Yuan Shaobin, president of CITIC Construction visited Uzbekistan in the company of vice president Chen Xiaojia.
During the visit, as witnessed by Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and Ilgizar Sabirov, chairman of the Uzbek Senate, Yuan and Shermatov, chairman of Uzkimyosanoat, signed the EPC contract for the rubber plant project in Angren, Uzbekistan.
Yuan also called upon Rustam Azimov, first deputy prime minister and minister of Finance of Uzbekistan, and Gulamjon Ibragimov, deputy prime minister of Uzbekistan in charge of energy and chemicals. The deputy prime ministers spoke highly of CITIC Construction’s alkali factory in Kungrad and the potash fertilizer factory in Dehkanabad, wishing CITIC Construction will participate in more projects. Yuan said CITIC Construction attaches great importance to the Uzbek market and will take full efforts to build the best projects in Uzbekistan.
