On the morning of July 1st,2011, in the company of Angola’s government officials, Liu Guigen, general manger of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. in Southern Africa, as well as those in charge of the project, and former Brazilian President, Luiz_Inácio_Lula_da_Silva (Lula), visited Angola’s CITIC K.K. project site in Southern Africa.
During the visit, he applauded the success of the project, showing great interest in the project layout, housing design, and supporting construction of facilities.
Pictured in the group photo (below) is Chairman Hong Bo and Lula in Brazil at the site. Liu, together with Lula, recollects in delight the deep friendship that has been forged between CITIC Construction and Lula through the success of the thermal power plant in Brazil, sending Hong’s greetings to him.
Lula’s visit garnered extensive attention from the local media. A dozen media outlets such as Angola State TV, Angola State Radio, and Angola Daily covered the visit in depth.
