On 23 May, 2011, Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, and Spokesman of the Angolan National Assembly Antonio Paulo Kassoma attended the signing ceremony of “Memorandum of Understanding of The Interregional Program between K.K. and BELAS of Luanda in Angola” to be carried out by a Chinese joint venture, which is made up of CITIC Construction Co. LTD as well as China Academy of Urban Planning and Design, and Luanda Province of Angola. Ms Hongbo，Board Director of CITIC GROUP , Chairman of CITIC CONSTRUCTION and Vice President of China Academy of Urban Planning Yang Baojun, and Joseph Dos Santos , Luanda Governor of Angola, , representing the two sides signed the memorandum.
The successful signing of the memorandum of understanding represented the cooperation between CITIC construction and Angola has reached another milestone. CITIC construction will be more involved in the development of Angola in the future.
