Vice President of CITIC Construction and General Manager of Venezuela Regional Department and his entourage were invited to attend the Donation Ceremony of Relief Materials from CITIC Construction held by Venezuela Foreign Ministry on the afternoon of May. 3, 2011.
At the end of 2010, most of Venezuela was hit by the worst floods in years which made 130,000 people homeless. CITIC Construction donated 5 containers of tents, blankets, camp beds and other urgent articles for daily use to the disaster areas in the first place.
Ms. Liriana Carrillo, Director of Asian Department of Venezuela Foreign Affairs thanked CITIC Construction for the donation and highly praised it as a company with strong sense of social responsibility. She hoped that CITIC Construction could contribute further to the development of Venezuela.
