Chairman of CITIC Group Corporation Chang Zhenming held talks upon invitation at the China World Summit Wing, Beijing with Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia of Algeria at noon on September 5, 2018. Algerian Prime Minister was in China for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Chairman Chen Xiaojia paid a courtesy call on President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique on September 2, 2018, who was in Beijing for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The two sides had an exchange of views on opportunities for future cooperation in social housing, infrastructure, agriculture and other fields. A handover ceremony for the Central Laboratory of CITIC Construction in Venezuela was co-held by the Latin America Division of CITIC Construction with the Bolívar Academy of Engineering of Venezuelan Ministry of the People's Power for Defense in Fort Tiuna in Caracas on August 22, 2018 local time in Venezuela. The ceremony was attended by Colonel Galicia, Director of the Bolívar Academy of Engineering of Venezuelan Ministry of the People's Power for Defense, and the leaders of the Latin America Division of CITIC Construction.

The Algeria East-West Highway Project jointly constructed by CITIC Construction won the Tien-yow Jeme Prize for Highway Engineering. On June 7, 2018, Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Umirzak Shukeyev of Kazakhstan who was visiting China at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing and witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation of Cattle Breeding and Agricultural Irrigation Project. Yang Jianqiang, Assistant President of CITIC Construction, and Mukhamedzhanov, Director of Export Contracts Department of “Food Contract Corporation “National Company” JSC, signed the memorandum documents on behalf of respective parties.
CITIC BN Vocational School (Angola) held the 2018 opening commencement and graduation ceremony on May 9, 2018. Over 300 people attended the ceremony, including Wang Heren, Secretary of the Party Committee of Africa Division of CITIC Construction; Olaiya, the representative of the Angolan city Kilamba; leaders of the CITIC combined fleet in partnership with the school and directors of local internships units, as well as teachers and students of the school.
