On December 28, 2022, CITIC Construction officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ajlan & Bros, Ximei Resources Holding Co., Ltd. and BONAVISTA CAPITAL. The four parties intend to establish a joint-venture fund management company to raise and manage investment funds with focus on regional strategic industries such as mining and renewable energy. With an expected target of US$10 billion of fund assets under management by 2025, CITIC Construction will be engaged in the fund management, and will have priority access to engineering and contracting opportunities in the mining and renewable energy sectors in Saudi Arabia.
On November 18, 2022, Standing Vice Manager of CITIC Construction Yang Jianqiang and General Manager of Belarus Swetlogorsk Pulp Mill OAO Yuri Kluck (transliteration) signed “Belarus Pulp Mill Upgrading & Reconstruction Project Contract” through video link and in the presence of Chairman of CITIC Construction Chen Xiaojia and Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to China Yuri Chenko.
On August 26, China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) held the 8th member congress and the first plenary meeting of the 8th council by combining online and offline. Fang Qiuchen, Chairman of CHINCA, and other leaders of permanent bodies of the 7th council and representatives of 460 members attended the meeting.
From August 17 to 23, 2022, due to the continuous dry weather and extreme heat, several serious forest fires broke out in El Taref Province, where the 84 km Project in the East Section in Algeria is located. CITIC Construction made every effort to assist the local government in putting out the fires.
Recently, the bridge crossing Yanqi Lake in Sanxian Road of Ziyang Airport Economic Zone project undertaken by CITIC Construction was awarded the 15th China Steel Structure Gold Award.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi attended the operation ceremony of CITIC's Iraqi Maysan Combined Cycle Power Plant Project at 8:00 a.m. Baghdad time on July 3, 2022. The project was implemented by CITIC Construction in the EPC+F general contracting model, which is an important achievement of CITIC Construction's implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. Adel Karim, Ministry of Electricity of Iraq, Ali Dawai Lazem, Governor of Maysan Province and other officials were present. Nearly 100 people including senior officials of the project proprietorMaysan Power Company and local celebrities attended the ceremony.
In order to implement the confidence measures in the economic field of the member countries of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and promote the cooperation between enterprises of the CICA member countries, the Fifth Plenary Session of the CICA Business Council and the Seventh CICA Business Forum was held in Nur-Sultan on June 27, 2022. CITIC Construction organized 2022 foreign languages "cloud test" from late May to early June for its employees. The test includes nine languages including English, Russian, Portuguese, French, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Japanese and Persian. Guided by the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and control, the written test was held simultaneously online in China, Angola, Algeria, Venezuela, Myanmar, Belarus, Iraq, and the United Kingdom. The oral exams were carried out successively via phone call or video call. The tests covered all company's ongoing projects or representative offices, with a total of 217 participants.

On May 25, Aleksandr Chervyakov, Belarusian Minister of Economy, presented the award for significant contribution to trade and economic cooperation over the past 30 years since the establishment of China-Belarus diplomatic relations to CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.
