On December 23, 2011, CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. received the prepayment from the landlord for phase 2 of potassic fertilizer plant project in Uzbekistan. All conditions for Phase 2 commencement has been met, and the project was launched.
On the night of December 28, 2011, the presentation ceremony for the “Outstanding Contribution Award for China-Algeria Cooperation” was held at the reception room of the embassy. The event was jointly organized by the Chinese embassy in Algeria, Algeria-China Friendship Association (ACFA) and Association of Chinese Enterprises in Algeria. Among the participants were Ambassador Liu Yuhe, Counselor Lv Yifeng, president of ACFA, president of the Algeria Chamber of Industry and Commerce, president of the Algeria Employers Association, as well as leaders and delegates of more than ten prizewinning Chinese and Algerian enterprises.

On November 29, 2011, at the Section PK152 of the east-to-west expressway in Bouria Province, Algeria, the grand opening ceremony of Section M3 of the expressway was held.
On November 25, 2011, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of Equatorial Guinea, on a visit to Angola, visited the Angola K.K. project of the Regional Division of Southern Africa of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.
On November 23, 2011, the “release ceremony for credit ratings of international contractors and labor cooperation enterprises in 2011” was held in Beijing. As a result, CITIC Construction was ranked with the highest credit ratings as a “3A” enterprise, with a validity period of three years. Ma Chuanfu, vice president of CITIC Construction, attended the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of the company.
On November 17, 2011, Mr. Kalinin，Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, inspected the site of the Krasnoselsk plant in the cement project in Belarus. During the visit, he expressed his satisfaction with the project’s progress and admired the organization and coordination capabilities and installation work done by the CITIC Construction team. He also pointed out that the successfulness of test run of the system was the result of Belarus-China collaborations, and hoped that CITIC Construction would assist the Belarusian side in purchasing and warehousing coal for winter.
On November 8, 2011, the three-day “2011 China-Venezuela Engineering Technology Expo” was held in Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela. The Division of Venezuela attended the expo on behalf of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd.
From October 25 to 27, 2011, at the invitation of CITIC Construction Combined Fleet, 13 famous stars, such as Huang Hong, Gong Hanlin, Han Lei, Siqin Gerile and Acha Tsendep who are popular among audiences and our country’s famous athlete Mo Huilan visited Angola K.K. Project site to participate in the culture activity with the theme of “Passing on Love and Belief Internationally” held by CITIC Construction Regional Division of Southern Africa.
On October 24, 2011, Chang Zhenming, chairman of CITIC Group, met Mr. Carlos Feijo, Minister of State and Head of Civilian House (Office of the President) of Angola, and his party at the Capital Club. Then, Chang held a banquet to welcome the guests. Hong Bo, director of CITIC Group and chairman of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., also accompanied them at the banquet.
