
On October 25, 2011, Chang Zhenming, chairman of CITIC Group, held a banquet at the Capital Club to welcome Mr. Rustam Azimov, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan. Hong Bo, director of CITIC Group and chairman of CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., also accompanied them at the banquet.
On October 13, 2011, China CITIC Bank and the Ministry of Economy and Public Finance of Argentina concluded a loan agreement in Beijing on the batch 2 & 3 contract for exportation of 279 metro vehicles to Buenos Aires by CITIC Construction Co.,Ltd. As the promoting bank, China CITIC Bank will grant a loan of 85% of the contract value in association with ICBC Asia and Wing Lung Bank, with a sum of 200 million U.S. dollars. The consummation of the agreement implies that all metro vehicles running on Line A in the Argentine’s capital city will be replaced with 150 new vehicles in the coming three years.
On September 28, 2011, a delegation of four members, including Liu Bingxin, Assistant President of CITIC Construction and Deputy General Manager of the Division of Venezuela of CITIC Construction, met with Venezuelan Vice President Elias Jaua. Venezuelan Housing Minister Ricardo Antonio Molina Penaloza was also present.
On September 29, 2011, led by Pedro, the Special Economic Affairs Assistant to Angolan President, a delegation of more than 70 members, including Jose Amaro Tati, Secretary of State for Agriculture; Kiala Gabriel, Secretary of State for Industry; Safica, Secretary of State for Information Technology, as well as officials from different government departments including the Malanje Provincial Government and Provincial Agricultural Bureau, gathered to inspect the agricultural project of CITIC Construction in Malanje.
On September 24, 2011, in the company of Mi Zengxin, vice president of CITIC Group, Hong Bo, the board director of CITIC Group and chairman of CITIC Construction, Vice Chairman and President Tian Guoli inspected the asphalt project in Kazakhstan, and encouraged CITIC’s constructors to work with Kazakh workers to complete CITIC’s major non-energy project in Kazakhstan. Subsequently, Tian and Mi held meetings with the representatives of PetroKazakhstan, the asphalt plant investor KPI, and CITIC Construction’s asphalt plant project.

Between September 16 to 19, 2011, president Yuan Shaobin and vice president Chen Xiaojia of CITIC Construction led a delegation on a business trip to Belarus.
On September 19, 2011, Venezuela local time, Liang Chuanxin, vice president of CITIC Construction and Venezuelan Housing & Habitat Minister Ricardo Antonio Molina signed the EPC Contract for Social Housing Project in Ciudad Tiuna Block in Venezuela. This is another major project contract won by CITIC Construction from Venezuela after their 20,000 social housing project.
On September 20, 2011, Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Angolan Defense Minister Candido Pereira Van-Dunen visited the Angola K.K. project of the Regional Division of South Africa of CITIC Construction.
On September 14, 2011, with the sound of an explosion, the right part of the Gushuyan Tunnel 1 of Section W3 was dug through as the line’s first medium-length tunnel. It is also the second tunnel through after the completion of the Wujiwan Tunnel. It was constructed by the general contract department of CITIC Construction of the Chongqing Yanjiang Highway.
