An All Staff Conference was held by Angolan Social House Project Department, CITIC International Contracting Inc. On February 20, 2009. Mr. Jiangsheng Wang, the deputy chairman of the company and General Manager of the project department, had its debut in the conference and made a speech to all the staffs.
On 8th Feb. 2009, the offload of 5746 tons of bulk asphalts, which was procured by CICI for the west section of Algeria East-West Expressway project, was successfully completed. It is the first ship which completed the procurement and offload of bulk asphalts in the three sections (west, middle, east sections) of Algeria East-West Expressway project.
On 5th Feb., 2009, CICI successfully completed the hoisting of the first component of boiler steel framework in Brazil Candiota Coal-fired Power Plant, which symbolized the installation works of the project stepped into full implementation stage.
On 25th Jan., 2009, the Spring Festival Celebration was held in CICI's project management office of west section of Algeria East-West Expressway project, all staff gatherd to organize various activities to celebrate the coming year of Ox.
Joao Manuel Bernardo, Angola's ambassador to China, warmly received Mr. Yuan Shaobin, the president of CICI, and his delegation in Luanda on 21 Jan. 2009.
On 15th Jan., 2009, the underground structure construction of CITIC City, a real estate project undertaken by CICI, has been successfully completed. All sub-sections of the structure was accepted.
The bulky equipment of Brazil Candiota Coal-fired Power Plant was successfully uploaded on 9th Jan., 2009. The ship has left Dalian Port for Rio Grand of Brazil. It symbolized that the shipment of equipment exported from China for the project had stepped into the conclusion stage.
