CITIC Construction, Israel’s Pitango Venture Capital (Pitango), CITIC Industrial Investment and Xinjin Investment Holding Limited (hereinafter referred to as "XJ Holding") held a signing ceremony via video link on May 21, 2020. The strategic cooperation agreement inked by the four parties focuses on cooperation in high-tech, medical technology and agricultural industries. Guests attending the ceremony were Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction; Zhang Jian, Vice Chairman of CITIC Industrial Investment; Chemi Peres, Managing General Partner of Pitango; and Hu Bin, Executive Director of XJ Holding.
The novel coronavirus pneumonia which broke out all of a sudden at the beginning of 2020 has drawn the attention of all Chinese as well as people in other countries. On February 8th, Africa Division of CITIC Construction and the teachers and students of the CITIC Centennial (Angola) Vocational School made a video clip together, aiming to cheer China and Wuhan up with the song "Let the world be filled with love".
The badminton and swimming team competition of the 6th Chamber of Commerce Cup for Chinese-funded enterprises in Angola, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese-funded enterprises in Angola, was concluded at the main venue of Africa Division of CITIC Construction on January 4, 2020. The Africa Division won the badminton and swimming team championship, creating a miracle in winning the badminton team championship for five consecutive times. Gong Tao, Chinese Ambassador to Angola, addressed the function. Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction, made remarks at the closing ceremony as the head of chairman units of the Chamber of Commerce.

An inauguration ceremony for Zango new city project which is undertaken by CITIC Construction was held on December 19, 2019. Angolan President Joao Lourenco and his wife presided over the ceremony and inaugurated the new city. Several Angolan ministers including Sergio Luther Joaquim, Governor of Luanda, and Ana Paula, Minister of Territory Planning and Housing of Angola, were present at the ceremony. Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction and relevant personnel from the Africa Division also attended the event.
An inauguration ceremony was held for the Luhongo satellite city infrastructure and housing project on December 13th , 2019. Carolina Cerqueira, Minister of State for Social Area of Angola, presided over the ceremony and inaugrated the project. Ana Paula, Minister of Education, Rui Falcão, Governor of Benguela, Joaquim Silvestre António, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Territory Planning and Housing and Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction were present at the ceremony.
The Angolan Ministry of Territory Planning and Housing held a signing ceremony of the performance certificates for the Phase 1 of the K.K. social housing project and the K.K.5000 RED housing and public works project on Dec. 6th, 2019. Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction, and Gaspar, president of housing development fund of Angola, the project proprietor, signed the performance certificates. Ana Paula, Minister of Territory Planning and Housing, Joaquim Silvestre António, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Territory Planning and Housing, principal officials from the housing division and urban infrastructure division of the Ministry of Territory Planning and Housing were present at the ceremony.
