Nicolás Maduro Moros, President of Venezuela, attended the handover ceremony of the 2.5 millionth house in the D Zone of Tiuna city, built by CITIC Construction, on December 27th, 2018, local time. Delcy Rodríguez, Vice President of Venezuela, and Ildemaro Villarroel, Minister of Habitat and Housing of Venezuela, attended the ceremony.
On December 11, 2018, Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction and General Manager of Africa Division of CITIC Construction, met with Fernando Francis, head of the infrastructure department of the Ministry of Territorial Planning and Habitation of Angola. They jointly signed three second-stage RED projects including the second batch of Zango RED Housing Project.
The signing ceremony for the construction contract of the second-stage project of the Sunsuria Headquarters between CITIC Construction and Sunsuria Berhad was held at the CITIC Construction Headquarter on December 10, 2018. The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement on an integrated project for Algerian phosphate exploitation was held on November 26th, 2018 in the phosphate mining area of Tebessa, southeast Algeria. Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia attended the signing ceremony. Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, and Abdelmoumene Ould Kaddour, CEO of the Algerian petroleum company Sonatrach, signed the agreement on behalf of China and Algeria.
