On December 11, 2018, Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction and General Manager of Africa Division of CITIC Construction, met with Fernando Francis, head of the infrastructure department of the Ministry of Territorial Planning and Habitation of Angola. They jointly signed three second-stage RED projects including the second batch of Zango RED Housing Project.
The signing ceremony for the construction contract of the second-stage project of the Sunsuria Headquarters between CITIC Construction and Sunsuria Berhad was held at the CITIC Construction Headquarter on December 10, 2018. Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, Chairman of the Board of Sunsuria Group, Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, CEO of CITIC Sunsuria, Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, and Tao Yang, President of CITIC Construction, attended the signing ceremony.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement on an integrated project for Algerian phosphate exploitation was held on November 26th, 2018 in the phosphate mining area of Tebessa, southeast Algeria. Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia attended the signing ceremony. Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, and Abdelmoumene Ould Kaddour, CEO of the Algerian petroleum company Sonatrach, signed the agreement on behalf of China and Algeria.
The 16th International Trade Fair for Public Works and Construction Machinery (SITP) held by the Ministry of Public Works of Algeria kicked off on November 21st, 2018. CITIC Construction attended the event upon invitation.

Located in Zango, Luanda, capital of Angola, the Zango 8000 RED housing project undertaken by CITIC Construction covers an area of 4.16 square kilometers and includes 8000 units of social housing with public supporting facilities and municipal infrastructure.
Tao Yang, President of CITIC Construction, met with a delegation led by Simon Pierre Adovelande, Beninese Ambassador to China, and Orou Yerima Baudouin Euloge, Minister Counsellor of the Beninese Embassy in China, at the Tian Yuan Gang Center on the morning of October 19, 2018.
On the morning of October 4th, 2018, a group led by Ana Paula, Minister of Territorial Planning and Habitation of Angola, inspected the Zango 8000 RED social housing project and presided over the turn-key ceremony in front of the newly built housing units. Hu Ping, Vice President of CITIC Construction, and Peng Ming, Assistant President of CITIC Construction, also attended.
The photovoltaic grid-connected generation of wind and solar energy project in Kazakhstan aided by CITIC Construction was successfully launched at around 5 pm on the afternoon of September 28, 2018, with all equipment systems functioning smoothly in operation.
