The 2nd session of the 3rd member representative meeting & the 6th session of the 3rd council board meeting of China Agricultural Association for International Exchange was held in Beijing on September 27, 2018. Approved by State Organs Work Committee of the CPC Central Committee and filed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Chen Xiaojia, Chairman of CITIC Construction, officially took office as President of the Association.

CITIC (Angola) Aluminum Extrudate Plant (CITIC Aluminum) achieved a complete success in a load test run on September 5, 2018 after the establishment and equipment installment that lasted for nearly two and half years, and it passed the performance evaluation smoothly. The load test run finished by CITIC Aluminum, the first modernized factory that is equipped with the comprehensive productivity in the casting, extrusion and spray of aluminum alloy in Angola or even southwest Africa, has signified that it is completely equipped with the conditions for investment and production.

Chairman Chen Xiaojia paid a courtesy call on President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique on September 2, 2018, who was in Beijing for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The two sides had an exchange of views on opportunities for future cooperation in social housing, infrastructure, agriculture and other fields. A handover ceremony for the Central Laboratory of CITIC Construction in Venezuela was co-held by the Latin America Division of CITIC Construction with the Bolívar Academy of Engineering of Venezuelan Ministry of the People's Power for Defense in Fort Tiuna in Caracas on August 22, 2018 local time in Venezuela. The ceremony was attended by Colonel Galicia, Director of the Bolívar Academy of Engineering of Venezuelan Ministry of the People's Power for Defense, and the leaders of the Latin America Division of CITIC Construction.
Ms. Marilena and Ms. Carlinda, two experts at Angolan President’s Civil Office, were designated by Angolan Minister of State for Economic and Social Development to visit and make an inspection tour to the CITIC BN vocational school upon the invitation of Chen Xiaojiao, Chairman of CITIC Construction on the morning of July 4th, 2018.
