Mr. President first welcomed the visit of Chen Xiaojia and his delegation and expressed that he had already known CITIC Group Corporation, the largest comprehensive state-owned enterprise in China. He hoped that CITIC Group Corporation could participate in the comprehensive development of Senegal in such fields as infrastructure construction, industry and agriculture and play a vital role in Senegal's economic development. On February 8, 2018, President João Lourenço of Angola led Governor of Luanda Province Adriano Carvalho and leaders from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Geology, Mines and Industry, the Ministry of Territorial Planning and Housing, the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Education and other relevant ministries and departments to inspect three projects undertaken by CITIC Construction in Luanda, namely, the Angolan National Tourist Resort project, the K.K.5000 RED project and the Zango 8000 Red housing project. The person in charge of the Lubango Project Department at the Africa Division of CITIC Construction received a phone call from Nuno Bernabé Mahapi Ndala, Vice Governor of Huila Province of Angola on the afternoon of December 13, 2017, and was told that the district of Palanca Negra of Humpata near the project site was hit by a tornado, and local residents were in urgent need of assistance as their the houses were seriously damaged and they had lost their homes.
Construction Supervision Bureau of Vitebsk of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus officially issued the acceptance certificate of Orsha Linen Mill technical modernization project to CITIC Construction on December 11, 2017. It marked the successful completion of the project and its full access to the phase of quality warranty.
