On February 29, 2016, CITIC Construction signed an EPC contract for the 230kV substation expansion project in Yangon of Myanmar with Myanmar Electric Power Enterprise, laying a sound foundation for CITIC Construction to further explore the Myanmar market.
Situated in Shenzhou Peninsula, Wanning City, Hainan Province, the project is a key tourism development project of the province with a planned land area of 18 square kilometers and a total building area of 4.06 million square meters. Angolan National Tourist Area Project is located in Futungo de Belas district in the southern Luanda, capital of Angola. The location, where the Angolan government was situated, is one of the most important cultural shrine in Luanda and enjoys convenient transportation. An upscale community with residence, business, hotel, entertainment and culture facilities would be built in the district. Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos laid the cornerstone for the project in person on July 11, 2011.
The project has a total floor area of 330 thousand square meters and a height of 189 meters.
The contracts of the first phase and second phase of the project were signed on September 30th, 2020 and January 26th, 2021 respectively.

On April 12, 2016, CITIC Construction signed the EPC contract with INTERSERVICE Co. Limited of Navapolatsk, Belarus. The contract amount is $ 156 million and the construction duration is 18 months.
