A ribbon-cutting ceremony for Angola’s Geological Institute of Angola (IGEO) undertaken by CITIC Construction was held on July 3, 2020. Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço cut the ribbon for the project.

The badminton and swimming team competition of the 6th Chamber of Commerce Cup for Chinese-funded enterprises in Angola, which was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Chinese-funded enterprises in Angola, was concluded at the main venue of Africa Division of CITIC Construction on January 4, 2020. The Africa Division won the badminton and swimming team championship, creating a miracle in winning the badminton team championship for five consecutive times. Gong Tao, Chinese Ambassador to Angola, addressed the function. An inauguration ceremony for Zango new city project which is undertaken by CITIC Construction was held on December 19, 2019. Angolan President Joao Lourenco and his wife presided over the ceremony and inaugurated the new city. Several Angolan ministers including Sergio Luther Joaquim, Governor of Luanda, and Ana Paula, Minister of Territory Planning and Housing of Angola, were present at the ceremony. Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction and relevant personnel from the Africa Division also attended the event.
An inauguration ceremony was held for the Luhongo satellite city infrastructure and housing project on December 13th , 2019. Carolina Cerqueira, Minister of State for Social Area of Angola, presided over the ceremony and inaugrated the project. Ana Paula, Minister of Education, Rui Falcão, Governor of Benguela, Joaquim Silvestre António, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Territory Planning and Housing and Li Zhengquan, Vice President of CITIC Construction were present at the ceremony.
